Pegah Khosravi, PhD
Board Member
Dr. Pegah Khosravi is an Associate Professor in the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at the University of Central Florida, with joint appointments in the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Clinical Sciences in the College of Medicine. Her work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biomedicine, with a focus on multimodal AI, ensemble learning, explainable AI, and foundation models for complex medical data. She develops advanced computational frameworks for the analysis of pathology, radiology, and other biomedical imaging data to improve disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Before joining UCF, Dr. Khosravi held research and academic appointments at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medicine, and the City University of New York. Her research has contributed to major advances in biomedical AI, including multimodal diagnostics, precision oncology, medical imaging, and neural-inspired predictive systems, and she currently serves in editorial leadership as Senior Deputy Editor for the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Her work reflects a forward-looking commitment to translating next-generation artificial intelligence into meaningful clinical innovation.
