Dr. Jay A. Redan is a nationally recognized surgeon, educator, and leader whose career has been deeply rooted in the advancement of minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He has served as Chief of Surgery at AdventHealth Celebration, Professor of Surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Governor for the State of Florida and CME Workgroup Lead for the American College of Surgeons, and President of both the Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons.
A pioneer in laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery since 1989 and an early advocate of robotic surgery since 2007, Dr. Redan has helped shape the evolution of modern minimally invasive surgical care. His longstanding commitment to surgical innovation, team education, telesurgery, and safer operating room practices reflects the core mission of the Society of Incisionless Surgery: advancing transformative techniques that improve precision, safety, and patient outcomes.
